The blur of a shadow determines how blurred the shadow line is. The spread determines the thickness of the shadow line.
To change the blur or spread of a shadow:
1. Select the element whose shadow you want to change.
2. Click the Style tab on the upper menu toolbar (should be selected by default).
3. Click the Shadow button.
4. Select a shadow type.
5. Use the blur and spread scales to increase or decrease the blur or spread of the shadow
